As you are likely aware, the IEEE has launched the Journal of Photovoltaics (J-PV) in response to the rapid growth of research in this area. As Editor-in-Chief of J-PV, I would like to invite you to submit your very best research findings to our new journal.
This can be done at any time through the J-PV website (http://eds.ieee.org/jpv.html).
If you are submitting a paper to the upcoming IEEE PVSC, there are two routes to submit a manuscript on the research you will present at the PVSC. First, the technical program committee will recommend, based on their evaluation of the submitted review abstracts, that a small number of papers be encouraged to submit a full J-PV manuscript in lieu of the conference proceedings paper. If selected, you would simply load your full manuscript onto the J-PV website by the conference paper deadline (May 20, 2016). You will also need to submit a 3 page abstract for the conference attendees information, which can be the review abstract previously submitted. The second approach is to submit a manuscript after the conference that is an enhancement of your conference proceedings paper. Guidelines for preparing an enhanced manuscript are available on our website and requires that you cite the PVSC proceedings paper in the enhanced version, briefly explain the extent of the enhancement in the introduction, and include at least a third additional material not published in the proceedings. Since IEEE holds copyright to your proceedings paper, no reprint permissions are required.
it is hoped that the possibility to publish in a peer-reviewed, archival journal will encourage you to bring your highest quality research results to the PVSC.
