Social & Companion Program

Dear PVSC Companions and Attendees,

I hope you are as excited as I am at the prospect being in Portland in June. “The City of Roses” is one of my favorite cities; come and enjoy the many sights and activities that are available here. Explore the city and surrounding area by day and relax and enjoy the many restaurants and entertainment venues by night.

Register as a companion and join us for a light breakfast Monday through Thursday. Then come with us on the various excursions arranged just for PVSC companions and attendees. In addition, your Companion registration entitles you to join us at the Exhibitors’ Welcome Reception and the Cherry Award Reception. Come and enjoy the fun, good conversations, food and drinks at these events.

I hope you will accompany us on tours in and around the city and see just how much the area has to offer – history, majestic natural beauty, innovative cuisine, and a lively social scene. Be sure to register early as seats on the tours will be limited. Please check this page again in the future as we plan to add more events.

I look forward to meeting you in Portland!

Best wishes,
Elaine Rockett
PVSC Companions Chair

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL TOURS WILL DEPART FROM THE HILTON LOBBY.

Companion Breakfast (7:00 - 8:30 AM)

Join us for a continental breakfast before starting out your day. This is a great place to meet other companions at the conference. This will also be the gathering spot for the daily tour. If you prefer to make independent plans a representative from the Portland Tourism and Visitor’s Bureau will be here to answer any questions you may have. This event is included with Companion Registration.

Companion Tour #1: Pink Trolley & Portland Spirit (includes lunch) (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Welcome to Portland, Oregon, a beautiful city with terrific neighborhoods. Many of Portland's old neighborhoods are lined with sidewalks and tall trees and full of old, classic homes with character. Portland's downtown, unlike other cities' downtowns, is a "destination," interesting and safe, and the city blocks are short, making Portland a "friendly walking" city! Take an exclusive tour of these cities via the famous Portland trolley and see historic sites, water views, and beautiful gardens amongst the Neighborhoods. After touring the city by land, transfer to the Portland Spirit cruise for lunch and a spectacular view of the city of Portland from the river.

Duration: 6 Hours
Cost per person: Adults - $99.00 / Children - $45.00

Conference Banquet: Providence Park.

(6:30 PM - 10:30 PM)

Goal! We’re teaming up with Providence Park, home of the Portland Timbers soccer team to provide the conference attendees and companions with a fun-filled evening. Since the Timbers won’t be playing that night, we’ll begin with a cocktail hour on the KeyBank Club deck level. Enjoy the entertainment while nibbling on “street fare.” Once the party is rolling, dinner will be served in the KeyBank Club. Dance the night away or try your luck at blackjack or other casino games. Since we won’t be playing with real money, a few prizes will be awarded to the evening’s top winners to make the games more interesting. Join your friends and colleagues for a night to remember.

Register early to score a ticket for this exciting evening; tickets are limited.

Transportation: an easy MAX ride right to Providence Park.

Price: $80
