This study investigates the properties and morphology of lab-synthesized two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide (2D-MoS2) flakes for solar applications. We exfoliated MoS2 flakes and drop-casted and spin-coated them on fused silica and silicon substrates. The measured optical properties of the samples showed large absorption between 250 to 748 nm wavelengths. An indirect bandgap of 1.21 eV was acquired using Tauc method, while a sheet resistance value of 2.91x102 Ω/sq was obtained from hall measurements.
