Micro-Prism Spectrum Splitting Optics for Lateral-Arrayed Multi-Junction Micro CPV

A micro-prism-array based low-profile spectrum splitting optics assembly is demonstrated. The precisely-controlled physical profile via low-cost plastic molding contributes to high optical transmission. The conjugate prism design and material matching design allow efficient spectrum splitting while introducing minimal beam deflection. This optics provides a cost-effective module assembly enabling high performance, lateral-arrayed multi-junction micro CPV modules.
